The death of Robert F. Kennedy’s granddaughter provides a series of tragedies which have befallen America’s prominent political dynasty for generations.

Saoirse Kennedy Hill had died on Thursday at the family home in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts. Her mom, Courtney Kennedy Hill, was one of the 11 kids of the late presidential candidate and his human rights activist spouse, Ethel Kennedy.

“Our hearts are broken by this loss of our beloved Saoirse. Her life was full of hope, promise, and love,” the family mentioned in an announcement without releasing her reason behind loss of life. She was 22, CNN affiliate WHDH reported.

The Kennedys had more than their share of misfortunes. Listed below are a few of the tragedies which have killed prominent members of the family.

President John Kennedy and his brother, Sen. Robert F. Kennedy had been both assassinated.

The President was killed in Dallas on November 22, 1963, and the man arrested of killing him shot dead as he was being moved from the Dallas city jail to the county jail days later. The shooting was inadvertent, shown live on TV.

Robert F. Kennedy was deadly shot five years later whereas campaigning in Los Angeles.20 years in the past, a small airplane crash killed JFK’s son, John F. Kennedy Jr., his spouse, Carolyn Kennedy, and sister-in-law, Lauren Bessette. JFK Jr., who was piloting the airplane at evening, apparently grew to become disoriented before crashing into the Atlantic off Massachusetts in 1999. In 1964, JFK’s brother, Sen. Edward Ted Kennedy, endured an aircraft crash that killed two folks.
